Dear Knitters:
Sharon From Security (ME, pictured at left) designed this super cozy Glamping Blanket in Berroco Vintage Chunky because I got the camping bug this summer. I’m used to station wagon camping (see at left) but I may have put a deposit down on this vintage Sharon Shed/camper at the left which I doctored to make it the proper colors. DO NOT MENTION THIS TO CASAPINKA. Vintage Chunky is the PERFECT blanket yarn, knits up quickly, easy to wash and is comfy for snuggling and also good for stuffing in Jean From I.T.’s exhaust pipe to make it backfire loudly.
Choose your size of glamping blanket: Finished Measurements
- Cat – 18 X 22”
- Baby Blanket/Small Dog/Portly Cat – 24 X 36” (side-eye to Kit Kat)
- Dog and Lap Blanket – 35 X 44”
- Sofa Blanket (for humans) – 46 X 58”
Yarn Amounts for color per size: Cat (Baby, Dog, Sofa)/100g per hank of Berroco Vintage Chunky Yarn. [Please note, our kits in the Knit On! store have the correct number of skeins for each size.]
Color A. 1 (2, 3, 5)hanks/ 68 (143, 250, 430)g;
Color B. 1 (2, 2, 4) hanks/55 (114, 200, 344)g
Color C. 1, (2, 2, 4) hanks/55 (114, 200, 344)g
Color D. 1, (1, 2, 3) hanks/37 (77, 135, 231)g
For example: Sofa size will take 5 hanks/Color A, 4 hanks/Color B, 4 hanks/Color C and 3 hanks/Color D.

Note that the one in blues to the left makes a great unisex baby blanket, or replace one of the blues with Mushroom (taupe color.)
